Problem
Problem
A significant challenge for Blog Boost is motivating casual users who do not blog consistently to start and actively maintain their blogs. With only 31% of bloggers posting at least weekly, according to Orbit Media, the platform faces the issue of users not contributing fresh content regularly. This results in a 15% lower engagement rate compared to industry benchmarks, as users struggle to stay motivated and committed to blogging.

The structure and length of my process depend on at which point I join the team, the resources available, and the deadlines. For this project, I focused only on the first four phases of my product design process.

Market Research
To understand the needs and motivations of potential bloggers, we identified two primary user personas: casual bloggers and aspiring content creators. These users are looking for ease of use and community engagement. Our research revealed that top competitors like Tumblr, Medium, and WordPress have succeeded by offering user-friendly tools and active community features. This insight guided our strategy to incorporate simplified blogging tools and robust social interaction features into Blog Boost.
